Türkiye Elektrik İletim A.Ş. (TEİAŞ), Turkey’s transmission system operator, published its updated remaining capacity map on 2 November. The map shows the capacity in MWe still available for unlicensed wind (RES) and solar (GES) plants connecting at transmission voltage level. The country is divided into 15 regions, and 11 of them show zero.
The four regions with remaining capacity are:
- Region 11: 14.1 MWe
- Region 12: 13.8 MWe
- Region 8: 5.4 MWe
- Region 3: 5 MWe
Together, these four figures add up to 38.3 MWe.
September’s only application met a zero
TEİAŞ also published its evaluation report on September applications for connection to the transmission system. The applications were assessed under Energy Market Regulatory Board Decision No. 14353 of 26 February 2026. According to the report, only one application was filed between 1 and 30 September 2026. It came from Kayseri, in Region 9, for 0.4 MWe, and its scope was listed as Article 5 (1-ç).
The application was not allocated any capacity. The report states that the regional capacity table dated 30 September 2026 had announced no capacity for that region. Region 9 also shows zero on the 2 November map.
Distribution-level capacity by connection point
TEİAŞ also updated its 2026 table of remaining unlicensed solar and wind capacity allocated at distribution level. The table is organised by province, transformer substation, busbar and distribution company or organised industrial zone (OIZ). Examples from the table:
| Province | Connection point | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Kütahya | 30 Ağustos OIZ | 12 MWe |
| Mersin | Erdemli substation (Toroslar EDAŞ) | 9.6 MWe |
| Istanbul | Şile substation (Anadolu Yakası EDAŞ) | 5 MWe |
| Giresun | Giresun (Aksu) substation (Çoruh EDAŞ) | 4 MWe |
Files reissued on 3 November
TEİAŞ repeated the September results in a second announcement on 3 November. The report, map and table in that announcement are also dated 2 November 2026.
